Yes! The quality of care delivered by our physicians and nurses is excellent as proven by outside sources. In fact, we’ve reach many quality milestones.
- Based on publicly reported data through Hospital Compare in December 2010, PBRMC outperformed other area hospitals in 18 of the 21 quality core measures.
- The survival rates for patients who receive open heart bypass surgery at PBRMC are among the top five in the state and exceed the “best practices” benchmark rates.
We have 140 highly-skilled physicians on staff and continuously upgrade our technology and facilities to make sure that our patients receive the best care possible. In the last six months alone we have invested more than $7 million to expand our Intensive Care Unit and women’s services, and to purchase state-of-the-art medical technology. PBRMC is the only hospital in our region to have a daVinci Surgical Robot with a simulator and the only hospital in the state to have MAKO-plasty robotic technology for partial-knee resurfacing surgery.
In 2010, PBRMC:
- Admitted 12,045 patients
- Provided care during 36,055 ER visits
- Performed a total of 11,264 surgeries
- Delivered 1,326 babies
We’re also investing $170 million to build a new 425,000 square foot medical campus to allow us to expand our high-quality services even further.
